FAM­I­LIES will be able to at­tend a pop­u­lar vil­lage event this week­end. Belling­don and Ash­eridge Vil­lage Hall’s Vil­lage Fete and Fun Dog Show will take place on Satur­day from 12.30pm to 5pm.

There will be a range of ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing a fun dog show, real ale fes­ti­val, bar­be­cue, tombola, tug-ofwar, kids cor­ner, bouncy castle, stalls, raf­fle, cakes and teas, a per­for­mance from the Hemel Hemp­stead Band and more.

The event is in aid of Belling­don and Ash­eridge Vil­lage Hall and Chilterns Dog Res­cue So­ci­ety.

2 WHEN the sun is out, the days are long and the skies are blue, it’s not only chil­dren who want to come out to play.

The Na­tional Trust of­fers visi­tors of all ages the chance to un­wind and re­lax in their beau­ti­ful gar­dens, park­land and coun­try­side, with nat­u­ral play ar­eas, pic­nic spots, quiz trails and other fam­ily at­trac­tions. Here is a round up to get you started;

Mary and All Saints School on Satur­day. It is be­ing or­gan­ised by the Bea­cons­field Lions char­i­ta­ble group as well as the school, with funds go­ing to char­ity. There will be a to­tal of seven races tak­ing place through­out the day start­ing at 12pm.

En­try is £2 which in­cludes a race pro­grammes, and chil­dren can at­tend for free.

THE ROALD Dahl Mu­seum, 3 High Street, Great Mis­senden, is hold­ing a spe­cial Armed Forces Day event on Satur­day. Join for­mer RAF pi­lot Graham Lau­rie for some free fam­ily talks to learn about Roald Dahl’s time in the RAF dur­ing the Sec­ond World War.

At 1pm and 3pm and for chil­dren over eight years of age.

HEAD along to a mas­sive vil­lage event on Satur­day as Feast Day takes place on Gold Hill Com­mon, Chal­font St Peter, kicks off at 10am.

For twelve hours take part in fun fairs and stalls, and watch danc­ing and gym­nas­tics dis­plays.
