Award winning chocolate is a treat
A BUCKS based family chocolatier has scooped two awards at a prestigious awards.
Chocolate and ice cream maker Auberge du Chocolat, which has a workshop and shop in Chess Business Park, Moor Road, Chesham, and a shop in Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross, has been awarded two silver awards in the 2015 Academy of Chocolate awards with its Manhattan chocolate and Moroccan mint chocolate.
For the competition, Auberge created two new chocolates with an international flavour. Manhattan brings a vibrant USA approach including a Bourbon whisky, while the Moroccan mint chocolate is ‘like a cool breeze in the desert’ using fresh mint in the ganache.
Managing Director Ian Scott said: “We were pleased to have received another two Academy of Chocolate Awards. The competition attracts many of the world’s top chocolatiers and only occurs every two years.

The store also held a Father’s Day special recently, by offering children the chance to make their dad a chocolate gift.
Shop assistant Joanna Anderson said: “The children had a wonderful time. They all went running out of the shop very proudly.” She added: “Seeing them just covered in chocolate was just very special.” Mrs Anderson singled out her “weekend girls”, Bella, Samantha and Nicole for special praise as “they are the ones that all the children will be asking for”.
