Early start for dads at French break­fast

The Lit­tle Lan­guage Academy, in Chal­font St Peter, joined forces with the Chal­font St Peter Montes­sori school and in­vited the men to the break­fast which took place be­fore school.

It in­cluded pain au cho­co­lat, crois­sants and brioche and the op­por­tu­nity to spend some time with their chil­dren in the class­room.

Af­ter this ev­ery­one made a cir­cle and en­joyed French songs and sto­ries to­gether.

Deb­bie Lo­max, deputy prin­ci­pal of the nurs­ery and owner of The Lit­tle Lan­guage Academy, said: “We of­fer dads’ break­fasts ev­ery term for the chil­dren at nurs­ery, but this time we thought we’d in­clude a French flavour and put the dads through their paces in get­ting them to speak some French.

“They had to in­tro­duce them­selves in French and join in with the singing with their chil­dren, who were very proud to show off their lin­guis­tic skills.”
