Hav­ing a ball for school hall

Par­ents and staff help raise funds

A SUM­MER ball was or­gan­ised to help raise money to make im­prove­ments to a school.

The Bea­cons­field School hosted the event, or­gan­ised by the PTA on Satur­day, June 6, which was at­tended by par­ents, staff and other peo­ple as­so­ci­ated school.

Guests donned tuxe­dos and ball gowns for the event, which was held at the school in Wat­tle­ton Road.

A grand auc­tion was held, with prizes in­clud­ing two signed For­mula One Red Bull shirts and a year’s mem­ber­ship at the Den­ham Health Club and spa.

There were also casino

with

the ta­bles and live mu­sic from the Scoundrels, a Buck­ing­hamshire based band.

Sue Dyer, one of the or­gan­is­ers, said: “The event was a huge suc­cess, and we were blessed with fan­tas­tic weather.”

Money raised from the event is go­ing to­wards the costs of re­plac­ing the stage and floor in the school hall.
