LIFELONG Liverpool fan Mark Creaby got to live out his dream last weekend when he turned out for the Reds after winning a Facebook competition.

The 35 year old glazier, from Gerrards Cross, didn’t think much about it after clicking ‘like’ on the competition page, so was amazed to get a call saying he was to be whisked off to the Liverpool Academy on the same coach used by first team stars like Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling.

There, he and the other competition winners were met by Anfield legends John Aldridge and David Fairclough, who went head to head in a managerial battle after selecting their teams for a match between the fans, which Aldridge’s team won 10-3.

Creaby said: “I thought it would just be a kickabout in Vauxhall shirts, but it was a real experience playing in next season’s shirts with our own names on, travelling on the first team coach and having a VIP meal at Anfield.

“We couldn’t believe Aldridge and Fairclough were the managers either. Fairclough was a bit before my time, but I remember watching Aldo play. I managed to score a goal as well, so I’m still pinching myself.

“I used to play a bit myself and had trials with Swindon as a youngster, but I’m restricted to five a side now and it takes me two days to recover from that, so I was knackered
