Fare way to mark anniversary

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SCHOOL REPORT -

A CARE home celebrated its 25th anniversary at its annual summer fayre.

The event went ahead at Leonard Cheshire Disability Chiltern House in Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross on Saturday, June 13.

As usual, it was attended by MP Dominic Grieve who took part in a Morris Dance, and Brian Lillicrapp, a resident of the home who has lived there since the site opened, cut a cake.

Amanda Minnett, volunteer co-ordinator, said: “Despite the threatening weather, the afternoon remained dry and the celebrations were held in the courtyard gardens.

“Great fun was had by all and approximately £1,200 was raised towards providing activities, outings and assistive technologies for the residents.” Brian Lillicrapp cuts a cake at the Leonard Cheshire Chiltern Home’s summer fayre.
