Clas­sic styles to Bol­ly­wood moves

HANDS UP FOR LEARN­ING NEW TECH­NIQUES: Pupils from Lit­tle Mis­senden Church of Eng­land School learned about In­dian danc­ing with a visit from Kalpesh (inset) from K’z Dance En­ter­tain­ment CRE­ATIVE pupils got the op­por­tu­nity to learn about In­dian danc­ing and mu­sic.

Chil­dren from Lit­tle Mis­senden Church of Eng­land School en­joyed a visit from Kalpesh of K’z Dance En­ter­tain­ment to com­ple­ment their learn­ing about Hindu arts and crafts.

Head of the school, Michelle Green, said: “The chil­dren thor­oughly en­joyed them­selves and Kaplesh soon had them per­fect­ing all the moves.

“On the first visit each class had an in­tro­duc­tion to Bol­ly­wood, the world’s big­gest film in­dus­try.“

On the sec­ond visit, the chil­dren dressed in In­dian cos­tume, lis­tened to tra­di­tional In­dian mu­sic and danced with some of the par­ents.

Pupil at the school, Jemima Scotch­brook, said: “It was great fun see­ing the mums and dads dance, they were quite good.”
