Medieval history will be coming to life
MAKING A POINT:
Medieval knights are on their way to the Chiltern Open Air Museum VISITORS to a museum will take a step back in time to the days of knights in armour and jousting later this month.
The Chiltern Open Air Museum will be hosting the Medieval Pageantry event, with actors from the Living History group coming along to bring the day to life.
People will be able to visit a medieval encampment, meet the actors and learn about life in England during the Middle Ages.
There will also be a chance to try on a knight’s helmet and to feel the weight of a broadsword which would have been used for fighting.
Youngsters will have the chance to try out some Medieval games, make their own brass rubbings and try out some medieval dances.
A Medieval tournament will go ahead, with crowds cheering for knights in armour taking to the field to do battle.
The event goes ahead at the Museum in Chalfont St Giles on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26.
