Park ease past Cross
RICHINGS PARK BC
SYLVIA Aldridge, Roger Sprules and John Andrews’ produced the highest rink win (22-8) as Richings Park Bowls Club beat Gerrards Cross 107-91 on Saturday.
This followed a close encounter with Cippenham in the Thames Valley League the day before, in which both teams won two rinks, but Gary Masters, Bill White and Bob Matthews’ 27-15 rink win proved decisive in Richings’ 75-64 triumph.
The shoe was on the other foot against Concorde, in which Richings lost a close game on the last end despite winning two rinks out of four.
A friendly defeat to Fassnidge was somewhat more comprehensive, with Richings only winning on one rink, while both rinks were lost in a 45-27 Double Fours defeat to Iver Heath.
Meanwhile, the club has three teams playing in the Bucks County Bowls League, and this week saw Richings Rollers beat Burnham 20-10 and Richings Eagles see off Marlow Blue Coats 18-13, but Richings Rangers went down 17-13 to Glory Mill Young Ones.
