Why no pictures of the volunteers?

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - OPINION -

I READ with delight the coverage of Armed Forces Day in the Bucks Advertiser and the many fantastic photos covering the whole day.

I was disappointed, however, not to see any photos of volunteers, who helped run the day, many ‘on shift’ for up to five hours at a time.

Only hundreds, not thousands, of volunteers were on duty from Friday set-up, all through the actual day to Sunday close down and without these hardworking people, from every walk of life and of all ages, this brilliant, well organised and smooth running event could never have happened.

We saw the photographer taking photos of volunteers throughout the day; it’s a pity no-one thought them worthy enough to publish! SHERYL EVERETT

EDITOR’S NOTE: It was our pleasure to report on such a fantastic event. Unfortunately, due to space constraints, we were unable to publish every photograph, but we would like to send our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to all the volunteers
