A CHESSVALE Bowls Club trio achieved the rare distinction of a hot shot during the club’s 34-10 win over Chesham Pioneers.

Isabelle McNeice, Brian Rogers and David Morgan joined the exclusive club of bowlers who have scored the maximum points on one end. It completed a fine week for Chessvale, who also hammered neighbours Chesham 128-72, with a highest winning rink from Nancy Powell-Thorne, Bill Diamond, Will Gehrig and Bob Bedford.

Bedford was again part of the top rink, along with Christine Rance and Pauline Loakes this time, as Chessvale saw off Berkhampsted 102-82 in another friendly.

There was a somewhat closer victory too over Long Crendon, Chessvale squeezing home 115-114 thanks to the top rink of Mae Nash, John Bristow, Brian Baker and Chris Nash.
