Taking a dive to raise funds
A FEARLESS team jumped from a plane to raise funds for charity.
Matt Rose from Great Missenden and Matt Piercy from Prestwood,
pictured, joined 12 other people in sponsored skydives during June, raising money for Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
On Sunday 21 June and Saturday 27 June, the brave 14 each took the leap from 13,000 feet over an air field in Brackley, strapped to an instructor.
Director of fundraising, Gillian Barnett, said: “We’re so grateful to all the divers who take on this massive personal challenge to raise funds for us.
“Many people choose a sky dive as a way of remembering someone special, facing their own personal fears to raise money for the charity that cared for their loved one so that other families can benefit in the future.”
This year the team looks set to bring in a further £5,000 – enough to fund 250 hours of specialist nursing care in a patient’s home.
