Sis­ters get on their bikes and ride

AN INAU­GU­RAL women’s bike ride which took place on Satur­day (July 4) went off with a bang as the or­gan­iser hopes to en­cour­age more of us to get out there en­joy all the ben­e­fits bike rid­ing brings.

The Change4Chal­font Cy­cling Sis­ters bike ride took off from the Chiltern Bike Barn, Mar­ket Place, at 11am around an ap­prox­i­mate eight mile cir­cuit be­fore fin­ish­ing in the cen­tre of the vil­lage.

Roland Col­li­cott, who or­gan­ised the event, said: “This was the first trip for the Change4Chal­font Cy­cling Sis­ters.

“While we didn’t get a huge turnout, there were a lot of peo­ple in­ter­ested who are keen to come next time. Ev­ery­one en­joyed the Chiltern lanes from Chal­font St Peter, through Seer Green and Chal­font St Giles, and some peo­ple hadn’t rid­den them be­fore. They can’t wait for the next one.”
