Cham­ber mem­bers is a spin at feast

THE LO­CAL Cham­ber of Com­merce took part in a huge neigh­bour­hood fes­ti­val re­cently by run­ning a hu­man fruit ma­chine stall.

The stall was held at Feast Day, on Satur­day June 27, on Gold­hill Com­mon, Chal­font St Peter, to pro­mote lo­cal busi­nesses who pro­vided prizes for the win­ners and to raise money for the pro­vi­sion and main­te­nance of the vil­lage flags, hang­ing bas­kets and Christ­mas lights.

The Fruit Ma­chine raised £234 to­wards the street dec­o­ra­tions fund.

Pres­i­dent of the Cham­ber of Com­merce, An­drew Welch, said: “The Chal­font St Peter Cham­ber of Com­merce is grow­ing in strength all the time with an in­crease in re­cent weeks of 10% in mem­ber­ship.

“We raised over £12,000 for the CSP street dec­o­ra­tions in 2014 and were able to ex­pand the scope and im­prove them.

“We were de­lighted to have so much sup­port from traders at Feast
