Per­fect score for stu­dent Rachel

AN 18-year-old stu­dent is among the 150 bright­est in the world af­ter achiev­ing a per­fect score of 45 in her re­cent In­ter­na­tional Bac­calau­re­ate Diploma Ex­ams.

Rachel Hughes-Mor­gan, 18, from Chal­font St Peter, and who at­tends North Lon­don Col­le­giate School (NCLS), is now in­tend­ing to study Pol­i­tics, Phi­los­o­phy and Eco­nom­ics (PPE) at St Cather­ine’s Col­lege, Ox­ford Univer­sity.

Ber­nice McCabe, NLCS head­mistress, said: “We are de­lighted with our stu­dents’ achieve­ments in the IB Diploma this year.

“The key to help­ing them se­cure these re­sults is teach­ers who share their love of sub­ject, who de­velop knowl­edge and un­der­stand­ing in stu­dents with­out an em­pha­sis on ex­am­i­na­tion as­sess­ment cri­te­ria, who en­cour­age stu­dents to de­velop their in­ter­ests be­yond the class­room, and who are al­ways will­ing to pro­vide in­di­vid­ual sup­port.”
