Kel­sall on hot streak

CAROL Kel­sall, Gayle Ber­ring­ton and Anne Be­g­ley won the Dorothy Day Triples at Amer­sham Bowls Club – beat­ing Jen­nifer Fletcher, Pam Sawtell and Mar­garet Sher­lock 11-6 in the fi­nal.

Kel­sall was also part of the high­est win­ning rink, in wins for Amer­sham over Mar­low (75-71) – where Neal Evi­son and John Bar­ber joined her – and against As­ton Clin­ton (75-53), where Gil­lott and David Balder­son shared in her tri­umph.

Gil­lott was then part of the high­est win­ning rink, along with Peter Bray, Mar­garet Sher­lock and Ray Cox, as Amer­sham drew 91-91 with Flack­well Heath in the Three Coun­ties League, in which Flack­well took seven points to Amer­sham’s five, hav­ing won on one more rink.

In the Vi Trun­dell, hon­ours were shared with Mar­low af­ter win­ning 17-13 at home but los­ing 20-15 away, while in the Burn­ham Plate, they were beaten both home and away by Ger­rards Cross, and a ladies’ friendly against Chal­font re­sulted in a 60-42 loss.
