Kelsall on hot streak
AMERSHAM BOWLS CLUB
CAROL Kelsall, Gayle Berrington and Anne Begley won the Dorothy Day Triples at Amersham Bowls Club – beating Jennifer Fletcher, Pam Sawtell and Margaret Sherlock 11-6 in the final.
Kelsall was also part of the highest winning rink, in wins for Amersham over Marlow (75-71) – where Neal Evison and John Barber joined her – and against Aston Clinton (75-53), where Gillott and David Balderson shared in her triumph.
Gillott was then part of the highest winning rink, along with Peter Bray, Margaret Sherlock and Ray Cox, as Amersham drew 91-91 with Flackwell Heath in the Three Counties League, in which Flackwell took seven points to Amersham’s five, having won on one more rink.
In the Vi Trundell, honours were shared with Marlow after winning 17-13 at home but losing 20-15 away, while in the Burnham Plate, they were beaten both home and away by Gerrards Cross, and a ladies’ friendly against Chalfont resulted in a 60-42 loss.
