RICHINGS Park Bowls Club booked an August 2 Bucks Plate semi-final with an 87-57 win over Loudwater in Sunday’s quarter-final.
Richings won on three of four rinks, with the most comprehensive Colin Cawley, Bill White and Claud Stimpson’s 28-9 victory.
There were also wins on three out of four rinks in a 64-60 win over Rosedale, with the key rinks 17-11 and 17-12 wins for Colin Cawley, Sheila Donovan and Dagan Burt, and David Orr, Athena Cawley and Bob Matthews.
Chalfont St Giles were knocked out of the Thames Valley 1-2-3 thanks to wins in the singles for Matthews (21-7), in the pairs for Stephen Page and Bob Doddington (31-5) and in the triples for Stimpson, Simon Edwards and John Newton (19-16).
Athena Cawley, John Cano-Lopez and John Andrews’ 26-10 rink win was the highlight of a 95-66 friendly hammering of Ashford.
