ALE AND HEARTY AT BAT BEER FEST
WE ALL know Bucks villagers are a hardy lot and a bit of rain won’t stop them having a good time.
And that was just the case for attendees at the Chalfont St Giles BAT Fest, which took place on Sunday, on the village green.
The third BAT Fest, organised by Business and Traders for Chalfont St Giles (BAT4CSG), started at noon, ran through the afternoon, and closed at about 6pm.
Garry Brown, chairman of BAT4CSG, said: “It was really brilliant, it was great.
“I enjoyed it and I think most people enjoyed it.
“There was a bit of a deluge though, it was really a downpour. I remained damp for the rest of the day.
“We probably had a couple of thousand people but that’s to be confirmed.
“We couldn’t have improved on it, it was really, really good.
“We would love to thank the villagers for coming and supporting us.”
