LONG-TIME lead­ers Penn & Tylers Green slipped off top spot in Di­vi­sion One of the Chiltern Cricket League af­ter los­ing their first game of the sea­son on Satur­day.

They went down by five wick­ets to Taplow for a first re­verse in 11 games, de­spite an un­beaten knock of 41 from Si­mon Tat­ter­sall, but sit only a point be­hind new lead­ers Lit­tlewick Green, in sec­ond place.

Else­where in Di­vi­sion One, Chal­font St Giles gained brag­ging rights over near-neigh­bours Den­ham with a crush­ing 147-run win. Chal­font bowled Den­ham out for a pal­try 68 as Chris Cross (4-46) and Paresh So­mani (5-22) – both mak­ing up for ducks at num­bers one and 11 re­spec­tively as their side made 215 all out – shared the wick­ets.

Coleshill stayed top of Di­vi­sion Two as knocks of 83, from Daniel Stay, and 56, from Lee Skin­ner, helped them beat Hur­ley by six wick­ets, while James Evans took 4-10 which, along with scores of 66 and 54 from Char­lie Etheridge and Ben­son D’Costa, saw Amer­sham Hill beat Pinkneys Green by 75 runs. The Lee went down by five wick­ets to Harps­den in Di­vi­sion Three, de­spite a cen­tury from James Atkins (138), while a stale­mate be­tween Winch­more Hill and Den­ham sec­onds, in Di­vi­sion Four, saw the lat­ter re­place the for­mer at the top. Nas Ali bagged 126 while Mick Wilkins took 4-48 for the Hill.
