SOLVING parking problems, improving parking facilities and stopping overdevelopment are among the priorities highlighted in a comprehensive report on the future of a town.

In recent months, people living in Beaconsfield have contributed their views to the Vision for Beaconsfield group, on how they would like to see the town grow an improve in the years to come.

This week, Vision for Beaconsfield has produced a 200 page report, collating all of those views and how they could potentially be implemented.

The report is set to be presented at a meeting of the town council tonight (Thursday, July 23), with councillors then set to consider the ideas in the document during the summer break.

Pete Foster, a member of Vision for Beaconsfield, said: “The response has been fantastic, we've had thousands of emails, and messages on Twitter with people giving their views, and asking questions.

“For a small town, it's been huge, and it shows how much people care about this place and how they want it to have the best possible future.”

He added: “This isn't a town plan, but it is a comprehensive reflection of what is important to people in Beaconsfield, so it's now up to the town council to pick this up and consider what it is in there and what they want to pick up on.”

More than 1,000 hours of volunteer time and effort has gone into producing the document, with input from a number of different local, national, government and advisory groups helping to shape it.

Douglas Butterfield, chairman of Vision for Beaconsfield: “It is fabulous to be able to report we have delivered our recommendation to the
