By­pass works to close A41 for seven nights

A BUSY road will be closed for seven nights this week, mo­torists have been warned.

The A41 will be closed in sec­tions from 8pm to 5am be­tween Che­sham and the M25 un­til Mon­day (July 27).

Work be­gan on the by­pass on Tues­day with it be­ing closed from the Lon­don Road, Bourne End junction to the Che­sham Road, Berkham­sted turn off.

On Wed­nes­day, the road was be closed from the Hemel Hemp­stead junction to the M25 round­about.

It will be in the op­po­site di­rec­tion tonight (Thurs­day). To­mor­row (Fri­day, July 24) the road will be closed again from the Bourne End junction to the Berkham­sted turn off. On Mon­day (July 27), it will be closed be­tween the Che­sham Road, Berkham­sted junction and the Tring turn off.

The clo­sures are to al­low work to be car­ried out to un­der­ground traf­fic sig­nal ca­bling.

Di­ver­sions will be in place for mo­torists.
