Belles’ feast of fun
A SCHOOL’S senior handbell team were rewarded for all of their hard work recently with a mains stage performance a huge village event.
The Maltman’s Belles, the senior handbell team of Maltman’s Green School, Gerrards Cross, performed for the second year in a row at Chalfont St Peter’s annual Feast Day, held on Gold Hill Common last month.
The sun shone as the girls played a selection of well-known folk tunes and classical tunes.
Miss Vienna Guy, head of music at the school, said: “The team is particularly grateful to Rebecca, Anna, Sanjana and Katy Clifford for stepping in at short notice to fill in the gaps made by a few regular members unable to attend.
“One member of the audience commented on how ‘slick’ their playing was, showing that all their hard work and concentration pays off.
“A huge well done to the girls.”
