EE bah gum – staff at a local building society branch will be bringing a little bit of Yorkshire into Buckinghamshire this weekend.

Staff at Skipton Building Society’s Little Chalfont branch will be celebrating Yorkshire Day on Saturday by handing out goodie bags and white roses to members of the public near their premises in Nightingales Corner.

This follows last year’s success when the branch first marked Yorkshire Day in honour of the society’s roots in the White Rose county, although there are 98 Skipton branches across the UK.

Katie-Jayne Cole, manager at the society’s Little Chalfont branch said: “Last year we ventured into the community and gave away goodie bags and beautiful white roses.

“We also had some fun in branch sharing Yorkshire puddings, balloons and goodie bags and decorated the branch with white ribbons.

“The reaction was fantastic and warmly welcomed by people just passing by.

“We are now looking forward to this year’s celebration.”
