Dragon judges national final
ON WEDNESDAY, July 8, my colleagues Anna, Kitty, Marius, Jack Bowers and Jack Beilby and I, attended the Ryman National Enterprise Challenge, held at Alton Towers.
We all had a fantastic day at the resort and we were all very grateful for the opportunity.
We started our day by getting up early to get to school for 6.45am and then travelled for three-and-a-half hours to get to the resort.
When we arrived, we gathered our models and posters and made our way to our meeting point to find out where we would be making our first presentation.
There were about 160 groups so we had to wait until 2pm to find out if we had reached the grand final.
We were all delighted when we heard that we were one of the lucky few – only four schools in our age group got through to the final. As soon as we heard our name – Prime Satchels – being called out, we had to go and have our photograph taken and then prepared ourselves for the final presentation, which was in front of a panel of judges, including Theo Paphitis, and the whole of the other 160 groups – more than 900 people – actually, it went rather smoothly!
Finally, there was the award ceremony but, annoyingly, we did not win. However, we learned a lot and had a great time and were very grateful for the opportunity.
FINALISTS: Students from Chesham Grammar School joined more than a thousand students hoping to impress former Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis at the finals of a national
