Ace ten­nis club mem­bers raise £700 for Brain Tu­mour Re­search

A SPORTS club raised nearly £700 for a lead­ing re­search char­ity re­cently.

The Chal­font St Peter Ten­nis Club, based on the play­ing field at Gravel Hill, held a ten­nis tour­na­ment and bar­be­cue for Brain Tu­mour Re­search on July 12, and to get into the spirit of the event asked ev­ery­one to wear a hat for the evening.

Lau­ren Ryan, re­gional fundraiser man­ager for Brain Tu­mour Re­search said: “It was a lovely evening and I thor­oughly en­joyed it. I can’t thank your club enough for your won­der­ful help and fundrais­ing, it re­ally does make a dif­fer­ence and gives hope to the 16,000 fam­i­lies a year that have a loved one di­ag­nosed with a brain tu­mour.”
