Ace tennis club members raise £700 for Brain Tumour Research
A SPORTS club raised nearly £700 for a leading research charity recently.
The Chalfont St Peter Tennis Club, based on the playing field at Gravel Hill, held a tennis tournament and barbecue for Brain Tumour Research on July 12, and to get into the spirit of the event asked everyone to wear a hat for the evening.
Lauren Ryan, regional fundraiser manager for Brain Tumour Research said: “It was a lovely evening and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t thank your club enough for your wonderful help and fundraising, it really does make a difference and gives hope to the 16,000 families a year that have a loved one diagnosed with a brain tumour.”
The club would like to thank everyone involved and if any tennis players would like to join the club, contact membership@ chalfontstpetertennisclub.co.uk or visit www.chalfontstpetertennisclub.co.uk.
They currently offer a 50 per cent discount for new adult members.
