THE high­light of Cricket Week at Che­sham CC was a sixwicket win over a Bucks CCC Se­lect XI picked by Kevin Beau­mont.

Che­sham vet­eran Beau­mont, who is also honorary sec­re­tary for the county side,ide is cel­e­brat­ing 50 years of um­pir­ing and to mark the achieve­ment, he brought a team of Bucks play­ers past and present to The Meadow.

Matt Eyles (High Wy­combe) scored 87 off 54 balls and Graeme Pask­ins (Mar­low, pic­tured) bagged an ex­cel­lent 115 off 84, while a late 37 off 15 by Jason Har­ri­son (Bea­cons­field) led to a dec­la­ra­tion at 273-5 from Beau­mont’s team on a damp wicket.

The pitch had dried out for Che­sham’s re­ply, which was led by for­mer Che­sham player and cur­rent Mid­dle­sex CCC pro­fes­sional Tom Helm, who hit an ex­cel­lent 112 from 69 balls, while Jack McIver’s un­beaten 77 also helped Che­sham win by six wick­ets on 279-4.
