MID BUCKS CRICKET LEAGUE DIVISION ONE Haddenham 152 all out Challoners 128 all out CHALLONERS were always going to find it difficult to reach their target of 153 after Haddenham reduced their reply to 25-5 within 13 overs.

Earlier, Darrin Charlton (3-28) had been the star of the Challoners attack as Haddenham were bowled out for 152.

But if Challoners thought that they were in with a chance then they were not prepared for the Haddenham opening bowlers, who proceed to blow the top order away, and it was only when Asghar Mahmood was joined at the crease by Ed Boughton that they start to make a comeback.

A 43-run seventh-wicket partnership between the pair finally got Challoners going, and when Boughton was out for 21, he was replaced by Howard Chamberlain, and a 37-run partnership gave Challoners more hope.

But that partnership was ended with Mahmood on 47, run out by a direct hit. Chamberlain tried to push the score along but fell for 20 not long after.
