Passengers get better choice of services

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

PASSENGERS who buy weekly tickets on Route 1 bus service from High Wycombe to Amersham and Chesham will be able to catch the first bus that comes along.

The new Route 1 Pass can now be used on both Carousel and Arriva buses on the route.

Two years ago a partnership between Buckinghamshire County Council and bus operators Arriva and Carousel paved the way for a co-ordinated timetable with both companies’ buses running at regular intervals

The new ticket will be introduced on a trial basis between September 1 and December 31.

It will be assessed and a decision made on whether to make the ticket permanent. Weekly tickets cost £20 for an adult and £15 for a student or child.
