BRI­TAIN’S SCHINDLER: Sir Ni­cholas Win­ton, who died ear­lier this year, is to fea­ture on a Royal Mail stamp THE man dubbed Bri­tain’s Schindler is to be im­mor­talised on a stamp fol­low­ing a suc­cess­ful cam­paign by the Jewish News and the Holo­caust Ed­u­ca­tion Trust.

For­mer Stowe School pupil Sir Ni­cholas Win­ton saved the lives of hun­dreds of Jewish chil­dren dur­ing the Sec­ond World War, evac­u­at­ing them from Nazi-oc­cu­pied Cze­choslo­vakia.

He died at Wex­ham Park Hos­pi­tal ear­lier this year aged 106.
