Help make village fair the best yet
THE ‘BIGGEST event of the year’ will be taking place in Chalfont St Giles this weekend.
From 11.30am on Satuday September 5, the Chalfont St Giles Village Show will be entertaining hordes of people as they take part in a range activities.
This year’s theme is The World of Sport, and star attractions include The Devil’s Horsemen – with displays of horsemanship including chariot races – The Falconry Centre which features birds of prey flying at speeds of over 40mph, The Flaming High Show and sheepdog demonstrations.
Competitions will be running throughout the day, with winners categories including floral art, craft, fruit and vegetables, cookery, photography and art classes, in both adult and junior categories.
More than 5,000 people are expected to attend the huge village event on Cameron Farm, Narcot Lane, and profits go to local charities, last year seeing about £11,000 go to good causes.
Volunteers however are still needed to help make this event the best yet – people are wanted to help the cleanup and organisation – visit www. csgshow.org for details.
