Rain couldn’t dampen hog roast
A COMMUNITY group heard from a toast master about the art of giving a good speech.
The Probus Old Beaconsfield group was visited by Wes Hollands at its annual hog roast. He told members about his role as a toastmaster, helping events run smoothly and how it has led to a meeting with Princess Anne, as well comforting nervous bridegrooms ahead of their speeches at weddings.
Although the event was interrupted by torrential rain, it did not stop the group enjoying the day and the food on offer.
Chris Bevan, of Probus Old Beaconsfield, said: “All in all we all had a great time and are looking forward to our next event which in true Probus style will be a visit to the Chiltern Valley Winery and Brewery.”
Peter Rogers and Terry Scott were among those enjoying The Probus Old Beaconsfield Group annual hog roast.
