MID BUCKS CRICKET LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION Aylesbury Town 100 all out Ballinger Waggoners 101-1

Ballinger won by nine wickets

BALLINGER Waggoners were grateful to a wedding which stripped opponents Aylesbury Town of half their first team on Saturday.

Needing to win to cling on to their Mid Bucks Premier Division status, they bowled a scratch Aylesbury side out for just 100 and, in reply, lost only Matt Riley, before Danny Draper (37no) and Rollo McIntyre (54no) saw them home.

It was harsh on relegation rivals Knotty Green, who managed to beat Holmer Green, who until last week had been in contention for the title, but finished third.

Ballinger’s win clinched seventh place for them and sent Knotty down in second from bottom.
