Vol­un­teers needed for char­ity singing group

VOL­UN­TEERS are needed to sup­port an Alzheimer’s So­ci­ety singing group in Bea­cons­field.

The group, called Singing for the Brain, meet Fri­day morn­ings at The Fitzwilliams Cen­tre, in Wind­sor End. Singing for the Brain is de­signed around the prin­ci­ples of mu­sic ther­apy and singing, pro­vid­ing so­cial in­ter­ac­tion in a safe and sup­port­ive en­vi­ron­ment for peo­ple af­fected by de­men­tia.

There are 1,578 peo­ple liv­ing with de­men­tia in the Bea­cons­field area, and the char­ity is look­ing for a lo­cal vol­un­teer who can oc­ca­sion­ally lead its Singing for the Brain group when the usual lead vol­un­teer is away.
