Volunteers needed for charity singing group
VOLUNTEERS are needed to support an Alzheimer’s Society singing group in Beaconsfield.
The group, called Singing for the Brain, meet Friday mornings at The Fitzwilliams Centre, in Windsor End. Singing for the Brain is designed around the principles of music therapy and singing, providing social interaction in a safe and supportive environment for people affected by dementia.
There are 1,578 people living with dementia in the Beaconsfield area, and the charity is looking for a local volunteer who can occasionally lead its Singing for the Brain group when the usual lead volunteer is away.
