Nurs­ery wel­comes boys back af­ter 10 years

Boys are ac­cepted into the nurs­ery at Heather­ton House for the first time in 10 years BOYS have re­turned to a girl’s school nurs­ery.

Heather­ton House School, Cop­perkins Lane, Amer­sham has opened its nurs­ery doors to boys for the first time in a decade.

Head­mas­ter Peter Rush­forth said: “We are al­ways in­tro­duc­ing new ways to de­velop our pupil’s learn­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties and this ex­cit­ing de­ci­sion to rein­tro­duce boys back into our nurs­ery is just another ex­am­ple of our ded­i­ca­tion to in­no­va­tion.”

Par­ent, Mrs Samp­son, whose son Felix joined this week, said: “We’d heard from lo­cal par­ents how won­der­ful the nurs­ery at Heather­ton was and when we came to see it, we were blown away.

“The out­door space

is in­cred­i­ble and there is a re­ally friendly at­mos­phere.”

Par­ents can visit the nurs­ery on an open day, on Fri­day Oc­to­ber 2 and Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 3 be­tween 10am and mid­day.
