Fundraising in memory of mum
FUN RUN: Angie’s Fund has been reinstated by Anna and Zoe, 20 years after their mother passed away and 20 years after their father started the fun NEARLY £10,000 has been raised for Breakthrough Breast Cancer in memory of a woman who died from breast cancer 20 years ago.
Angie’s Fund was started in 1995 by Steve Grudgings in memory of his wife Angie.
Fundraising has been restarted this year by Angie’s two daughters, Anna Roll and Zoe Roll, to mark the 20th anniversary of their mother’s death in a positive way.
In June they took part in the Penn and Tylers Green Fun Run, and on Saturday completed the Thames Valley Challenge.
Anna Roll said: “It was an absolutely incredible event with the first four completing it in just over 25 hours.
“Zoe and I are so thankful to everyone who attended an event, donated via JustGiving or gave us their feet and their insane courage to complete the walk.”
Steve Grudgings said: “I am extremely proud that they’ve decided to do this.
“This has been their decision and something that I am going to be supporting them throughout this in any way I can.”
