Stags celebrate ‘great­est day’ as face of cam­paign

Cheer­lead­ers add some glitz and glam­our to rugby club

CHEER­LEAD­ERS, film­ing, a hog roast and beer formed one of the ‘great­est days’ in Che­sham Rugby Club’s history.

A film crew was at the club to make a video about the Che­sham Stags in­volve­ment in JC De­caux’s na­tion­wide bill­board cam­paign.

The crew in­ter­viewed the play­ers that have fea­tured in the na­tional elec­tronic bill­board cam­paign, fea­tur­ing Che­sham Stags as the face of grass roots rugby.

Chair­man of the ju­niors at the club, Graeme Youngs, said: “The cheer­lead­ers added a bit of raz­za­matazz to the day. It was a good crowd and one of those

Play­ers from the Bucks rugby club can be spot­ted in posters across the UK as part of the cam­paign.

The club is help­ing to pro­mote rugby in the lead up Cup.

“The play­ers have loved it – who would not want to see their face 40ft high in Heathrow Air­port?”

The chair­man be­lieves the Che­sham club was cho­sen to be the face of grass roots rugby as it is a club with play­ers from all walks of life and it in­cludes a ladies rugby team and a ju­nior rugby team.

Jes­sica Zoo, man­ager of the cheer­lead­ers, Zoo Fever, said: “We ab­so­lutely loved cheer­ing for the Che­sham Stage.

“Such a great day for team, sup­port­ers and coaches.

“It was great to be a part of it even for one day. They have such a won­der­ful sports fam­ily. Che­sham is lucky to have them.”
