MPs join Con­ser­va­tive as­so­ci­a­tion mem­bers for au­tumn drinks in the gar­den

THE CHAL­FONT St Giles Con­ser­va­tive branch wel­comed MPs from across Eng­land to their au­tumn drinks party on Sun­day.

The bash was held in the gar­den of the home of Bucks county coun­cil­lor Tim Butcher and his part­ner, Emma Pid­ding CBE, who was re­cently ap­pointed to the House of Lords.

A com­bi­na­tion of Con­ser­va­tive party mem­bers and vil­lagers turned up to en­joy the event.

The guest of hon­our was the MP for Che­sham and Amer­sham, Ch­eryl Gil­lan, and the event was also at­tended by Anne Marie Mor­ris, MP for New­ton Ab­bot in Devon, and James Whar­ton, MP for Stock­ton South in County Durham and the min­is­ter for the North­ern Pow­er­house.

Mr Butcher said: “The af­ter­noon was a great suc­cess.

“It is al­ways a plea­sure to welcome Ch­eryl and her hus­band, Jack, to our branch events, and it was an added bonus to have the com­pany of Anne Marie and James.

“Both are long­stand­ing friends of the Che­sham and Amer­sham Con­ser­va­tive As­so­ci­a­tion.”
