Still time to influence HS2 MPs

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - OPINION -

PARLIAMENT has returned from recess, and the HS2 petitioning season has restarted.

On the first day, the committee sat from 2pm until midnight, to get through the schedule.

If you petitioned the committee, you can still influence the outcome, without the expense of a taxi back from Westminster.

See www.hs2amersham. org.uk/Petitions.html to contact your local action groups for advice.

There is still time to register your support for a local group (or appear in person), and help us save the AONB from the railway.

Perhaps the Bucks Advertiser/Examiner could complete the information for us poor taxpayers by providing the cost of the two departments and the cost of the single department now.

This information can only build confidence in the taxpayer that our money is being wisely spent.

We look forward to a reply in the letters column.
