Government failing refugees

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - OPINION -

THE Government is failing the people of the UK because it won’t co-ordinate its refugee rescue activity with the rest of Europe and it will make the people who come apply to stay after five years on an indefinite right to remain.

It will create hurdles for people to jump over instead of recognising the urgency of the crisis and welcoming people in need to the UK.

If Germany can commit to helping five hundred thousand people a year then the UK can do better than the conditional terms set out by the current mean government that wants to isolate us as unwelcoming and is reluctant to work in a co-ordinated way
