Tails wag at town’s ‘incredible’ day out
MORE than 500 people flocked to Gerrards Cross on Sunday for an ‘incredible’ day out.
The Memorial Centre, on East Common, was the venue for the annual dog show and family fun day, which left the organisers delighted.
Ken Piercy, director of services at the memorial centre, said: “It was incredible.
“We had more than 500 people through the doors, which was astonishing.”
He added: “We’ve never had that many people before.”
Revellers were treated to a ‘fantastic’ dog agility show, and there were bouncy castles and face painting, which Mr Piercy described as ‘really good fun’.
“Everyone really enjoyed it,” he added.
Mr Piercy said such events were important for the village, bringing people together to create a community and it’s also fun for families and people of all ages.
“We have to do these sort of things.
“That’s why we’re here,” he said.
He added: “It’s nice to get 500 people on site. It’s really good.
“We’ll do it every year.”
