Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - BUSINESS -

CHARITIES from across Buckinghamshire received advice from business professionals from a wide range of sectors and had the opportunity to build relationships with potential partners and other charities at the ‘Networking & Insights for Charities’ event organised by The Clare Foundation.

The free event, which took place at the Clare Charity Centre in Saunderton in association with Charisma Charity Recruitment, saw business professionals sharing their expertise with charity CEO’s, directors, leaders and trustees, providing them with practical guidance on how they can run more efficiently. The experts also gave presentations on branding and marketing, effectiveness of charity boards, recruitment, wealth management and investment and risk management.

Martin Gallagher, CEO of The Clare Foundation, said: “We hope that by introducing commercial methods and business expertise through sharing best practice and networking, we can help charities become more efficient, allowing them to focus on their core activities.”
