Five un­der round puts young golfer clear of com­pe­ti­tion

While Don­ald­son’s su­perb ef­fort earned him the salver, Michael East (Burn­ham Beeches), with four un­der 68, took sec­ond place with 142, while Peter Hand­cock (Har­ley­ford), with one un­der 71, came third with 145, on count back from Evans.

Mean­while, Bow­ers, a ju­nior mem­ber at Bea­cons­field and Stoke Park Academy, man­aged to beat her morn­ing score by two shots, giv­ing her an ag­gre­gate nett of 134, the win­ning hand­i­cap score.

Caleb Cochran (Burhill) came sec­ond with 138, which was matched by Se­bas­tian Tan­num Don­ald­son (Bucks) in third and Rachel Good­win (Har­ley­ford).

The in­di­vid­ual scratch prizes were won by Cahill in the morn­ing with 71 gross and Cal­lum Kirby (Stoke Park) in the af­ter­noon with 72 gross, while the hand­i­cap hon­ours were taken by Fraser McDon­ald (Son­ning) in the morn­ing with 67 nett and Tom Oliver (Castle Royal) in the af­ter­noon with 66 nett.
