TTHE mar­tians are com­ing to Wind­sor R Race­course this au­tumn with a fi fire­works spec­tac­u­lar de­signed to th thrill.

Fol­low­ing the suc­cess of Warhorse la last year, the race­course will be stag­ing a unique open air mu­sic and fire­works p pro­duc­tion of The War of the Worlds w with nar­ra­tion by Liam Nee­son.

Set to Jeff Wayne’s mul­ti­mil­lion­selling mu­si­cal ver­sion of the fa­mous H G Wells sci-fi thriller, the show will fea­ture amaz­ing fire­works and spe­cial ef­fects, in­clud­ing a 30ft high Mar­tian and its deadly heat ray.

Nar­rat­ing this iconic story will be the un­mis­tak­able voice of ac­tor Liam Nee­son, who recorded it in Jeff Wayne’s latest ver­sion, tak­ing over the role made fa­mous by Richard Bur­ton.

Best known for movies in­clud­ing Schindler’s List and the Taken se­ries, Liam Nee­son tells of the Earth’s in­va­sion by Mar­tians and how our civil­i­sa­tion was only saved by bac­te­ria.

The dis­play will be held at the race­course on Satur­day Novem­ber 7 and crowds will be en­ter­tained with a fab­u­lous fire­works dis­play, cour­tesy of Hert­ford­shire-based Fan­tas­tic Fire­works which is cel­e­brat­ing its 30th birth­day this year.

This will be more than just fire­works, how­ever, with ex­cit­ing props, aliens and space ships cre­at­ing a fan­tas­ti­cal ver­sion of War of the
