ON SONG: Singer Lauren Ray returned to Dr Challoner's High School to perform to students A SINGER returned to her former school to inspire the next generation.
Musician Lauren Ray spoke to students of Dr Challoner’s High School in Little Chalfont about the business and creative side of the music industry.
Lauren said: “It was a great day at Dr Challoner’s – I spoke to a group of students about working In the music industry and about my own new music and then because the weather was so nice we quickly pulled together an outdoor gig for the students during lunch.”
Lauren has recently set up her own independent label TAMLAN Records and is releasing her own music. BRINDLEY House Childcare Centre has expanded its French classes for younger children.
The Little Language Academy teaches children aged three to four years of age at the centre on Burkes Road, Beaconsfield, and now children aged two-tothree-years-old will be able to enjoy the weekly sessions as well.
Debbie Lomax, owner, said: “We are delighted to have been asked to increase our weekly French sessions at Brindley House. The best time for a child to learn another language is when they are young and they learn through play and exploration. Our classes offer lots of fun and interactive experiences, using stories, games, puppets, songs and other activities.”
Sarah Fahey, manager of Brindley House Childcare Centre said: “Our children really enjoy their weekly French classes, and we have been amazed at how quickly they have learnt so many new French words and phrases. They love all the wonderful props which accompany every class, and especially enjoy singing in French, which our staff like joining in with too.
