Students wave the flag for Queen’s reign
LONGEST REIGN CELEBRATIONS AT CHESTNUT LANE SCHOOL IN AMERSHAM CHILDREN celebrated the Queen's reign while learning about British history.
Pupils at Chestnut Lane School in Amersham celebrated the Queen becoming Britain's longest reigning monarch on Wednesday, September 16.
School receptionist, Tina Hooker, said: “The children started the day with a school assembly where teachers discussed the Queen's role, which included talking about commonwealth countries and how Queen Elizabeth served in World War II.
“The children were very eager to learn how life had changed since the reign of Queen Victoria. The assembly concluded by waving the British Flag and singing in their best voice God Save the Queen.”
During the day, children also made crowns and learned about British history.
