Golf day chips in £9k for cancer charity
Chiltern Charity Golf Classic attracts 68 players
A ROTARY golf day raised more than £9,000 for a cancer charity.
The Chiltern Charity Golf Classic saw 68 players take to the course at Harewood Downs Golf Club, in Little Chalfont.
The winners for the second year running were Chris Luker and Jonathan Marlow from Luker Rowe Insurance Brokers, in Old Amersham, with a score of 44 points.
The tournament raised money for the Neuroblastoma Society and other Rotary supported charities
Rotary president Chris Palmer said: “We depend on the support of local people in our fundraising activities and all the money we raise goes to deserving causes. Not many people know much about the work of Rotary in Amersham, but we join Rotary to make a difference in our local community and we stay in Rotary because we do.”
