Siblings are the stars of cross country show
Young brother and sister both take gold at school series
and George Beddoe of Gayhurst in third, while the year four girls’ race was dominated by Frankie Baxter of St Mary’s, who won with a strong run up the hill ahead of Chartridge’s Lesedi Nkoane and Godstowe’s Lucy Baker in second and third respectively.
In the year six boys’ race, a breakaway group and a fast finish resulted in a win for Matt Aldred of Chalfont St Peter, ahead of Gateway’s Cormac Nisbet and Great Missenden’s Teague Eaton, while a characteristically strong run by Abbie Henderson of Gerrards Cross clinched the year six girls’ race from Holly Henderson of Gerrards Cross and Scarlett Lehneis of Ley Hill.

Around 500 children took part in the event, hosted by Chalfont St Peter CofE Academy and the Gateway School. The next meeting is at Chartridge Combined School on November 21.
Alex and Maddie Hughes both claimed gold medals
