So­ci­ety pre­pares for au­tumn ex­hi­bi­tion

THE Au­tumn Ex­hi­bi­tion of the Bucks Art So­ci­ety (BAS) at the Queens Park Cen­tre in Ayles­bury will take place this y year be­tween Oc­to­ber 20 and Novem­ber 3. The Open­ing Preview will be held from 6.30pm on Tues­day Oc­to­ber 20, with the Young Artist’s Award (YAA) pre­sen­ta­tion at 7pm.

The YAA is a

county wide ini­tia­tive sup­ported by BAS to pro­mote art in schools and this year’s pre­sen­ta­tion will awarded by Cav. Romeo di Giro Giro­lamo.

Buck­ing­hamshire mshire Art So So­ci­ety was once a small art group that, over 90 ye years, has evolved into a co county-wide so­ci­ety, w with more than 100 m mem­bers, whose st stan­dard is of the high­est qu qual­ity. Prospec­tive new m mem­bers are asked to u un­dergo a se­lec­tion p process, which is held tw twice a year.

Among the mem­bers Works by Amanda Cur­bish­ley will be among those ex­hib­ited at the Bucks Arts So­ci­ety’s au­tumn ex­hi­bi­tion of the so­ci­ety there are por­trait pain­ters, oil and acrylic pain­ters, wa­ter-colourists, pas­tels pain­ters, textile pain­ters, ce­ram­i­cists, glass artists, sculp­tures and print­mak­ers.

Honorary mem­bers of the BAS in­clude some of Buck­ing­hamshire’s lead­ing artists such as Paul Mil­lichip, Brian Ben­nett, and Clarissa Gal­liano.
