ITH busy lives, being short on time and long on commitments, buyers want aspirational homes with advanced technologies and stylish and opulent interiors which are also practical and durable to meet their family needs, says Iona Newton. She believes that there are three key components to creating a showcase home. Whatever the size of project, style, quality and luxury will always appeal to any homeowner.“Key feature pieces of furniture, spectacular accessories and stunning artwork give homes impact.A sense of opulence ensures homes are remembered long after the viewing is over,” says Iona. “Houses must be enjoyed and provide wellbeing to occupants and visitors alike.” Iona suggests sumptuous sofas, imaginative storage, heated floors and an abundance of natural light.“Of course, landscaping is equally important, ensuring the garden has a year-round appeal and encourages enjoyment of the outside entertaining areas.”
“Ease of use and seamless integration across different technologies are key,” says Iona, citing mood lighting, smartphone heating and audio visual technology as main elements.
“When the judges see so many entries each year, it is important our homes meet the standard for consideration. But there must be differentiators, elements of design and luxury which promote the property above the competition and make it memorable and unique,” added Iona.
