VILLAGE HOSTS CHARITY COMEDY NIGHT IN AID OF LOCAL SCHOOL
COMEDY fans enjoyed a night of fundraising for Denham Village Infant School.
Nearly £1,200 was raised at the comedy gig at Denham Village Hall on Friday, October 9 thanks to the efforts of the Friends of Denham Village Infant School (FODVIS).
A total of 75 people laughed their way through the evening as comedians Tom Price, Stuart Laws and Marcel Lucont entertained the crowds, with Stuart Laws also compering.
Organiser Wendy Cope said: “It was brilliant. Absolutely fantastic.”
Miss Cope said her favourite part was catching up with the mothers of former and current pupils.
“It was nice to bring the community back together, because there were lots of people from the village and the surrounding areas,” she said.
“The fact that we raised that amount of money to go towards the computers was fantastic.”
The next event she has planned is a quiz night at St Mary’s Hall to raise money for the school and the local Brownies. Contact 07826 685098 for more information.
